It is of no doubt that our
faith to our religion and Islamic beliefs are the basis for the prosperity we
enjoy and all the grace that has been bestowed upon us. Allah has given our
country countless innumerable blessings and riches of which the greatest and
most important blessing, secondary to the blessings of belief and security, is
the availability of electricity which affects all aspects of our daily life.
Brothers and sisters,
The
Kingdom
of
Saudi Arabia
has invested greatly in the developing and constitution of the infrastructure
and providing services to various important sectors, of which is that of
electricity.
With Allah’s blessings, our
dear country is witnessing outstanding improvements in all economical, trading,
industrial, agricultural, and constructional sectors, which all require
electricity to function. This leads to the yearly growth factor for electrical
consumption in the kingdom to exceed beyond many other countries in the world
and this demand is only expected to grow. As such, a need to increase
investments develops in order to maintain the requests for basic services and
create a greater awareness about the proper usage of electrical energy while
providing ways to limit consumption.
We have advised the
Ministry of Water and Electricity to launch a national campaign to promote the
proper use of electricity and to introduce ways and techniques that will
decrease the amount of energy consumed in collaboration with the Ministry of
Culture and Communications as well as other related parties. Hoping for joint
efforts to make this campaign a successful one to meet its objectives, I invite
all nationals and foreign residents to strongly reflect the goals of the
campaign and request from all designated areas to cooperate to make this
campaign successful and fruitful in order to achieve public benefits for the
country and all its citizens.
Finally, I ask of Allah,
the Almighty, to bless out efforts and help us succeed in growing, improving,
and developing our cherished country and its people.
